Today, I spent a day at two places. One was at my grandma's birthday party and the other is my next-door-grandma's place for hari raya...
These two places are strikingly different.
My cousins were the craziest bunch.
One is a lunatic artist-wannabe. She can sketch freakin' well. I swear!
Then, there are the younger ones who play games all the time.
The younger boys watch T.V. or listen to their MP3 while the younger girls play with Nintendo DS (note that it's just a DS not a Lite)
So while the kids are playing, the older ones (that's our dads) will be sleeping on the carpeted floor... Dream a little dream...
It's sad for a little girl like her to experience all these trauma...

When I was younger, all my cousins and I did were run around in the corridor and played catching, cycling, playing at the playground, competiting in Playstation and watching cartoons together.
With the rise in technology, we lost that communication with one another and watching my cousins grow up as self-centred, rebellious and selfish brats just gave me the crreeeepss...

One of my cousin (the boy with the food in his mouth) really spoke like an Ang Mo and he is just 5. He is homeschooled. Freakin' American slang lah! What have T.V. done to a kid? They've created him into a monster!

While at the other place, this little 7-year-old girl is the opposite. She sits quietly at a corner, does her own stuff, makes artworks and never spoken a single word. I swear. Not a single word. I talked to her but there wasn't a response. At first, I wanted to give up but she's a kid I thought. She had her own family problems though.
Her parents divorced last year when she was just 6 and she lives with her grandparents and her mom and little brother. Ever since her dad left, she has never spoken a word. Now, she's very quite and reserved. It affected her psychologically and emotionally. Damn. But she does so well in school and she's very creative.
